GABA rice is produced by partially sprouting (germinating) brown rice. This germination process makes available additional amounts of the amino acid GABA (gamma amino butyric acid) that is naturally occurring in brown rice. Studies have found that GABA has various benefits including a calming effect on the nervous system, improving sleep, helps fight depression and lowers blood pressure.
Basic Preparations:Stove top:1. Rinse rice.2. To a pot add 2 cups of GABA rice to 3 cups cold water.3. Bring water and rice to a full boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Do not lift lid during cooking process.4. Open lid and fluff rice.
