A favorite warm and delicious Indian spice mixture. Rub it inside and outside a whole chicken before roasting, or over chicken parts before broiling. It’s wonderful, too, mixed into the dusting flour for fried chicken. Garam Masala is used to flavor curries or as an all-purpose seasoning. Garam masala is best when added at the end of cooking and can even be sprinkled on a dish when serving.

This mix can then be used in curries, lentils, soups or just sprinkled into your scrambled eggs while cooking — yum!

A benefit of adding garam masala to your food is that it is said to stimulate appetite and boost digestion by promoting release of gastric juices in the stomach. Cloves and cumin in the garam masala are said to keep indigestion away, and the cloves also help in preventing acidity in the tummy.
