French Red Camargue Rice is from the Camargue area of southeastern France. This region has been designated as a Protected Geographic Appelation, by the French government. This insures that this region will continue to produce high quality food ingredients. This rice is also known as Riz Rouge. The rice has a beautiful color and excellent flavor. This is the premier red rice from Europe.
To prepare: Combine 1 cup rice with 1.5 cups water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 30-40 minutes until grains are tender. One cup dry yields 3 cups cooked.
