Black Walnut and Oatmeal Cookies: 3/4 c. brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 1/4 cup butter, 1 tsp vanilla, 3 cups oatmeal, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional), 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp baking soda, 3/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 2 cups Black Walnuts. Mix sugar, egg, butter and vanilla together. Stir in dry ingredients and black walnuts. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven at 350F for 10 minutes. remove from oven and let cool. Makes 3 dozen.(seasonal item)
