Description
Chili powder is most commonly used to season chili. It also shows up in enchiladas, spice rubs, and other Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. Chili evolved from meat stews of the Southwest especially among cowboys and guests of the Texas prison system. Chili powder can also be used as a rub on meats before grilling.
