Description
Shiitake Mushrooms can be steamed, broiled, baked, fried, or grilled. They develop a rich flavor, meaty texture when cooked. To reconstitute, rinse mushrooms in cold running tap water. Place into bowl covered with boiling water, let soak 15-20 minutes and rinse well. Or, rinse well and add directly to recipe that will cook at least 25 minutes. Generally, 1 oz dry reconstitutes to 3-4 oz. May contain naturally occurring sulfur compounds.
