Description

Tahitian vanilla actually has a lower vanillin content than Mexican and Madagascar beans, but maintains greater levels of other flavor compounds. Higher levels of the flavor compound coumarin help give Tahitian vanilla its fruitier flavor. Tahitian vanilla beans are often described as smelling like licorice, cherry, prunes, or wine. It is truly special. Often used in desserts, custards and anywhere you’d like a refined “fruity” vanilla.
